Alu Bukhara is also known as plums are called prunes when dried. Plum trees bear a sweet juicy fruit, reddish-purple when mature with a dusty-white wax coating. Known for it’s laxative properties and helps with regulation of digestive system. Blossoms in late February and ripens in June-July. Eaten raw, and used to make jam and squash.
